A trusted charity recruitment company
We aim to make recruitment and job hunting a stress-free experience for clients and candidates.
Charity Horizons proudly offers tailored recruitment and consultancy solutions to non-profit organisations and individuals. We’re committed to social impact and contributing to the broader goals of the charities and enterprises we serve.
Our founders, Charlie and Leanne, bring over 25 years of combined experience to the table. Their knowledge and proven track record, coupled with their unrivalled enthusiasm for the sector, make Charity Horizons the perfect choice when you’re looking to develop and grow your career or organisation.
Charlie and Leanne share a deep-rooted passion for the non-profit sector. They met while working in the charities department of a larger recruitment firm, and their shared love for the sector and the people who make it so incredible led them to launch Charity Horizons at the start of lockdown.
After surviving that period, they’ve re-established an unrivalled network of clients and candidates – built on a desire to do things a little differently, focusing on understanding and supporting people in unique ways.
Charity Horizons is a charity recruitment company that wants people to do what they love – whether that’s our candidates, our clients, or our own team members.
“What we do is not a job, career, or simply a means to pay the bills – this is our passion, our responsibility, and a partnership with the sector we all love and respect so greatly. Our promise to you is that we will fulfil our responsibilities with enthusiasm, integrity and tenacity.”

At Charity Horizons, we’re dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in all our recruitment processes. We work with clients to share our knowledge of inclusive recruitment and encourage them to adopt best practices like using gender-neutral language, anonymising CVs, providing alternative application methods, giving interview questions in advance, and offering flexible working arrangements to create an inclusive environment for all candidates.
The Charity Horizons team connects talented individuals with meaningful opportunities in the not-for-profit sector.
Leanne has dedicated almost all her 20+ years in recruitment to working with charities and third sector organisations.
It’s safe to say what Leanne doesn’t know about charity recruitment simply isn’t worth knowing! Married with two children, she takes on the seemingly endless challenge of juggling book bags and PE kits with meetings and proposals. Regardless, you will not meet a more dedicated person to support your career or charity’s development journey.
Leanne is known across the region for her unrivalled dedication to the task at hand and her immeasurable work ethic.
Charlie’s inherent love for the charity sector perfectly complements her recruitment and business development background.
Her adventurous spirit has led her on travels around the globe, from backpacking with friends to volunteering on charitable projects. When she’s not on the move, Charlie enjoys all things sporty – whether playing or cheering from the sidelines. Her competitive spirit shines both on the netball court and in her professional life, where she’s known for her strong drive and commitment to helping candidates and charities thrive.
Charlie’s tenacity, experience, and dedication to the sector have earned her a fantastic reputation in the region and industry.
Jen joined Charity Horizons in August 2023, bringing her experience of working as a fundraiser in the charity sector to the team. Jen’s previous roles include Corporate Partnership Executive at NSPCC, Community Fundraiser at Marie Curie, Senior Fundraiser at Candlelighters and Regional Fundraiser at Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity.
“After nearly 10 years as a fundraiser this was a perfect fit for me. It is a privilege to be working in the charity sector, with a variety of incredible causes. The challenge of developing my skills in recruitment and working with inspirational people is the cherry on the top!” Jen
